France's proposal to declare electricity generated in nuclear power plants as climate-friendly is a disaster in terms of climate policy. "The only beneficiary will be French industry", says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of the aream Group. "This will particularly be at the expense of Germany and may have a significant impact on economic development in 2022."

Last November was warm in Germany, but relatively sunless. Nevertheless, the energy yield from photovoltaics fell only slightly short of the targets. There were larger shortfalls in wind energy. "The fluctuations are not unusual and should be made up in the coming months", says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of aream Group. "In the longer term, shortfalls will be offset by overproduction."

More climate protection is only possible with market-based incentives. The World Climate Conference in Glasgow has already demonstrated this with the specification of CO2 trading, and now the new German government can follow suit. "In order to be able to develop and build on more land for wind and solar farms more quickly, local authorities must benefit", says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of the aream Group. "This could be a turning point."

The demand for investments in renewable energies is growing rapidly. Therefore, the aream Group strengthens its investment division with two new employees: Marc Cattien and Felix Nosthoff-Horstmann will support the team in handling the growing project pipeline and closing new investments.
