A severe setback for Europe's wind industry: last year, investments in new turbines really collapsed. "The sums are far below what would be needed," commented Markus W. Voigt, CEO of aream Group. "In view of the increased costs and interest rates, politicians will have to ease the burden on the wind industry and offer investment incentives."
Thomas Schied took over the newly created position of Director Key Account Management in the Industry and Energy Markets division in the aream Group on March 1. "We are pleased to have Thomas Schied, a very experienced manager in the field of renewable energies, join the aream Group", says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of the aream Group.
Last February was another outlier month: far too warm, far too dry and far too sunny by long-term standards. What caused losses in many winter sports regions made solar energy yields shine. "On the one hand, the accumulation of unusual weather phases is making us increasingly aware of the problem of climate change", says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of aream Group. "At the same time, it's becoming clear that if we don't want to rely on the weather to make the switch to climate-friendly energies, the expansion must be driven forward quickly."
Renewable energies are facing golden times. Although this is now considered a truism, the opportunities are still often underestimated. This is because politicians are driving the energy turnaround forward with billions, while at the same time the demand for electricity is growing and the production costs for renewables are falling ever lower. "In view of persistently high electricity prices, the production of green electricity is becoming increasingly lucrative and thus less dependent on government subsidies", says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of the aream Group.
