On 1 August 2022, Jörn Preuth took over the management of AREAM Advisory GmbH alongside the previous CEO Christian Schnaidt. Meanwhile, Andreas Ehrbar will take over Christian Schnaidt's previous role as COO of aream GmbH. “We have thus been able to gain two experienced specialists for our business”, says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of the aream Group.
“We are pleased to strengthen our team with Jörn Preuth and Andreas Ehrbar. With their expertise in project development and in the operation of renewable energies, we not only ensure stability and profitability in the ongoing operational management”, says Markus W. Voigt, CEO of the aream Group. “At the same time, this also underpins the strong growth of the Group in terms of personnel.”
Jörn Preuth (42) will lead AREAM Advisory GmbH as co-managing director together with Christian Schnaidt. The company, which belongs to the aream Group, is a German-based project developer in the field of sustainable energy infrastructure. Preuth comes to AREAM from Windwärts Energie GmbH, where he was division manager responsible for the development of the entire wind project pipeline in the individual planning phases. Previously, Preuth was the regional manager at BayWa r.e. Wind GmbH, a leading German project developer, where he was responsible for the strategic orientation of projects in western and southern Germany and for the corresponding organisation. “In order to achieve the German government's goal of increasing the share of electricity generated from renewable energies to at least 80 percent by 2030, the rate at which wind turbines and photovoltaics are being added to the grid must increase very significantly and very quickly”, says Preuth. “We as aream want to make our contribution to the projects on site as a reliable, competent and flexible partner, and I look forward to playing my part in this.”
Andreas Ehrbar (53) takes over Christian Schnaidt's previous area of responsibility and becomes COO of the aream Group. The mechanical engineer previously held various management positions in service, in the wind turbine segment for Senvion, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and BKW Wind Service, among others. “The current social and political developments bring new risks in terms of costs and revenues due to the significantly faster changes, but also great potential due to changed revenue structures in energy prices”, says Ehrbar. “With my experience in this area, I want to balance both and help shape the use and operation of the assets in an economic, sensible and sustainable way.”
