On April 1, 2021, Elke Hanel joined the aream Group as an additional managing director. She is responsible for project development, with a focus on photovoltaics, at the company, which specializes in renewable energies.

"The future of renewables definitely lies with solar energy," says Markus W. Voigt, CEO and founder of aream Group. "Photovoltaics in particular is increasingly winning the cost comparison to wind energy and is also welcomed by the population. Therefore, the strong growth of both the sector and our company make the decision for another managing director logical and necessary. Elke Hanel brings a lot of management experience in this field, including the increasingly important project development." Hanel comes from wind 7 AG/StiegeWind GmbH in Eckernförde, and she previously worked in various management positions at BayWa r.e, among others.

"The task appeals to me very much," says Elke Hanel. "On the one hand, because renewable energies are young and dynamic in their development cycle and there is still a lot to shape. On the other hand, also because at aream a well-coordinated but not entrenched team approaches the tasks with the same enthusiasm that I have always appreciated. We share the vision of a green energy future." 

Elke Hanel holds a degree in environmental engineering, has many years of national and international experience in the renewable energy sector, and is active in several industry associations and societies.
